Moodle is the online learning platform at SFUVET and
is used for training and continuing education. The learning content,
assignments and other information are available there for study purposes.
Moodle is an online learning platform (Learning Management System or LMS).
It was developed on the basis of pedagogical principles and enables the
formation of communities around content and activities. The word "Moodle" is
the abbreviation for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment.
Moodle adds various educational and communicative interaction tools to
create an online learning environment that enables interactions between
educators, learners and educational resources via the network.

- An account is required to use the learning platform. People who work at SFUVET or who attend a course, module or degree program automatically receive an account for the Moodle learning platform. The account is deleted six months after end of course.

- Course areas are used to divide individual courses into sections. There are separate course areas for each division, degree program or year. The course areas are used to create order within Moodle.
Course areas are not deleted unless the course area has become obsolete.

- Courses, activities, and blocks serve to make learning content available to students online. Courses, activities, and blocks can be used to create interactive learning opportunities and facilitate exchange among students.
A Moodle course with activities and blocks remains active for six months after the last person has completed the degree program, module, or course.
After that, if there are any assessments, the Moodle course with the activities and blocks is backed up, archived on the drive, and deleted from Moodle. The archive on the drive can be restored, but personal data can no longer be recovered. Moodle courses without assessments are not backed up, only deleted.
